The lake is noted for its dramatic shifts in water temperature, which can range from a comfortable 28°C (82°F) to a much warmer 38°C (100°F) as you descend deeper. These temperature shifts create an otherworldly diving experience but could be considered ‘dangerous’ if divers are not adequately prepared or aware of the changing conditions. Despite this, the lake is generally considered safe for diving, as divers follow proper guidelines and protocols.
